John Kerry’s Comments

November 2, 2006 · Leave a Comment

Boy if this isn’t a lesson on how one slip of the tongue can change the course of events I don’t know what is. George Allen has similar problem. Even if you’re not a believer of the Bible you still have to agree on the validity of this verse:

James 3:5 So also the tongue is a small thing, but what enormous damage it can do. A great forest can be set on fire by one tiny spark. (The Living Bible)

Mr. Kerry claims at first it was a botched joke. I don’t see how any person watching or hearing him can agree with this. Kerry ran for president for goodness sakes, he is an articulate speaker and knows how to recover from an error. He showed no sign of a “botch”. After the press took him to task he vehemently claimed he would NOT apologize and now he is vehemently apologizing. Can you hear the sound of “flip-flop”?

It remains to be seen if this comment can actually change the election but it for sure will have an effect on some voters. Especially those who are on the fence of voting for a democrat. But for the most part, the statement that all politics are local will probably still apply.

One sad thing that isn’t being reported on here is that while his comment is reprehensible to Americans, it is probably accurate. Draw your own conclusions on that comment.

Low Self Esteem

October 26, 2006 · Leave a Comment

What percentage of society has low self-esteem? The lack of affirmation among modern adults seems staggering to me.  It is regarded as almost sinful to correctly word a sincere affirmation to someone. Oh, there are plenty of syrupy love fests going on! But, a true building up of others? Nah!

This World is Weird

October 26, 2006 · Leave a Comment

I think a lot of things in this life suck. Don’t get me wrong, there is an awful lot to enjoy, but on the things that really matter like God, family and others it has it all wrong. I have a lot to say on this subject. If you would like to hear more please leave me a comment!

Cheers.
